This June at Bethan HQ, we’re focusing on two areas of Customs Training that regularly cause confusion for businesses: Incoterms® and Customs for Buyers. They might seem like technical details, but they have a significant impact on cost, risk, timelines and how confidently teams work with international suppliers. To help build that confidence, we’re running two practical courses designed to make these topics clearer, easier and genuinely useful in day‑to‑day roles - such as procurement, logistics, supply chain, finance, sales, and operations. 

"Incoterms® Explained"

On Thursday 4th June, our Incoterms® Explained session takes a close look at the terms that appear across quotes, contracts and purchase orders every day and yet are still widely misunderstood. We’ll break down what each rule actually means (and what it doesn’t), when risk transfers between buyer and seller, who is responsible for which parts of the journey and how Incoterms® connect with customs, transport and documentation decisions. 

"Customs for Buyers"

On Thursday 11th June, our Customs for Buyers course dives into how customs shapes purchasing decisions, often in ways buyers aren’t fully aware of. We’ll explore HMRC authorisations that could save your business money, the importance of commodity codes and how customs considerations should inform supplier conversations and cost planning.
