From 01 January this year the law regarding moving goods to and from the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) has changed, and the UKCS needs to adapt accordingly. Over recent months we’ve had a number of conversations with our customers regarding their experiences of these legislative changes.

That’s why we are delighted to have been invited onto a working group to explore the current challenges and potential solutions, along with representatives from OEUK (Offshore Energy UK) and UKOITC (UK Oil Industry Taxation Committee).

We are in discussions to explore which changes are required going forward to ensure that procedures meet the requirements of legislation, and also what these changes will look like, particularly in relation to electronic declarations, and the presentation of goods.

These conversations are proving very positive, and we intend to formulate compliant solutions to the current challenges within the agreed time-frame.

Please do get in touch with us if you have any experiences or issues you would like us to raise regarding this important topic. You can email us at: info@bethancc.com.
